The architectural features of Lehaunstown in Cherrywood are beautiful examples of the agricultural heritage of the County. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
Lehaunstown Park House has an abundance of ornate period features revealing the history of the house which dates back to circa 16th Century. Located beside the house is an impressive double height L-shaped stable building of granite construction with decorative red brick cladding.

Lehaunstown Park House represents a unique opportunity to restore a period house and stables whilst also developing the surrounding lands for a variety of uses.
Set on 7.11 acres of glorious parkland, and drenched in historical significance, Lehaunstown Park House has evolved remarkably over the years. The building started out as a Tower House in the 16th century and by the late 20th century it had evolved into a handsome farmhouse connected to a busy working farm.

Happy Friday everyone! The Cherrywood site has such a rich and interesting history, for example, did you know that Tully cross is thought to be from the 12th/13th century, and is reputed to be dedicated to St. Bridget?

@CabinteelyLife Hi @CabinteelyLife , the Luas service will increase in both frequency and capacity as the Cherrywood population grows.
Did you know that It has been recorded that the Kildare militia were present at the Lehaunstown Camp in October 1796 where they were undertaking manoeuvres at Tully Church?
During archaeological excavation of the Cherrywood site a Kildare Militia button was found, and it is possible that the button was lost during this time or within this period of occupation of the camp. All-metal, disc buttons were introduced for all ranks in the last quarter of the 18th century.
